About us

We are the Heijting family and took over this beautiful "Pleats" from Sjoed and Matsje in December 2024. April 2001 Sjoerd and Matsje bought this farm as a ruin and in about 10 years time they have rebuilt and renovated the whole. The front house from 1912 has been restored to its original state as much as possible, of course equipped with modern conveniences. They have also tackled the layout of the garden and yard, with a terrace with seating here and there. It has become a beautiful whole in a beautiful, historic and unique area on the spot where for centuries Claercamp Monastery stood, the largest monastery in the north of the Netherlands!
